Wilma Jean Collins

Wilma Jean Collins, 90, of Catawba Island and formerly of Lacarne, OH passed away Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, OH. She was born December 24, 1933 in Athens County Ohio the daughter of Delmar and Dorothy (Carsey) Annon. She married Dale Eugene Collins on February 12, 1954 and he preceded her in death on March 1, 2018. She was a member of LaPointe United Methodist Church. She retired from the Lacarne Post Office and she was clerk for Erie Township for many years.

Surviving are her daughter: Kimberly (Allen) Minton of Marblehead; grandchildren: Allen Eugene (Ally Williams) Minton, Jr. of Sheffield Village, OH, Adam (Adriene) Minton of Sandusky, Cassandra (Aaron Shank) Minton of Castalia,; step-grandchildren: James Minton of Port Clinton, Teresa (Brett) Smith of Troy, OH and Billy Minton of Columbus; daughter-in-law: Elisa Collins of Port Clinton; grandchildren: Sara (Andy) Shoemaker of Port Clinton, Kayla (Derek) Colston of Hilliard, OH; great-grandchildren: Jordyn, Emma, Ella, Adelyn, Brooks, Lela and many great-step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband: Dale E. Collins and son: Dale T. Collins.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1124 Fulton St. Port Clinton, OH. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00am Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Lacarpe Cemetery, Lacarne, OH.
