William S. “Bill” Lewis, 91, of Port Clinton, OH died Monday, November 28, 2005 at Elmwood Assisted Living, Fremont, OH. He was born Feb. 14, 1914 in Akron, OH the son of Claude Myers and Emma (Ickes) Lewis. He married Juanita Pyle on August 22, 1936 and she preceded him in death on March 14, 1999. Mr. Lewis along with his partner Russell Englehart, owned Clinton Reef Marina in Port Clinton. He was also an electrical engineer working for Romanoff Electric where he was vice-president. Mr. Lewis was a veteran of the United States Navy Seabees serving in World War II. He was a member of Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 2480, Port Clinton and was a past member of the Port Clinton Rotary Club and Elks Lodge No. 1718. Mr. Lewis just published his own book The Seabees and Your Sons by Wm S. (Uncle Bill) Lewis. Surviving are his many friends and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and sisters: Ruthie and Lilly Myers. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 30, 2005 at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Port Clinton, OH where visitation will be held Wednesday from 10:00am until the time of the service. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park, Toledo, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
