William O. Kosanka, 80, of Oak Harbor, Ohio, died Sunday, April 22, 2012 at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo, Ohio. He was born in Benton Township, Ottawa County on October 21, 1931, a son of Otto A. & Agnes E. (Suhrbier) Kosanka. A U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, Bill was a retired truck driver for Paul Blausey. He is survived by brothers, Lee Kosanka, and Robert (Carol) Kosanka, both of Oak Harbor, and Richard Sauer, Vermilion, Ohio; sisters, Mary L. (David) Orman, Oak Harbor, and Alice Nehls, Genoa, Ohio, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Grace Luebke and Shirley Nehls. A Celebration of Bill's life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 1, 2012 in the Community Room at Oakwood Manor, 524 Benton Street, Oak Harbor. Private interment will be in Elliston Cemetery, Elliston, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to Oakwood Manor.
