William Lewis Fannin, 80, of Danbury Township, passed away peacefully Sunday, July 9, 2023 in his home with his loving wife and family by his side. He was born March 30, 1943 in Columbus, OH the son of Charles Paul and Flora Elaine (Faulkner) Fannin, Sr. Bill attended General Motors Institute. He later owned and operated his own fabricating business, C. Fan Enterprises. Bill was the type of man who would give the shirt off of his back to anyone in need. His greatest contribution included donating to Danbury School system and St. Jude’s. Bill enjoyed many things in life, including boating, building cars, racing boats, cars, and motorcycles and truck and tractor pulling. Most of all though, Bill loved and enjoyed his wife and family. His grandchildren, nieces, and nephews will all be waiting for their next trip to “California” with him. “Ya did good Bill”.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years Clara (Kidd); son: Steven Fannin; grandsons: Steven Fannin, II and Daniel Fannin; great-grandchildren: Aniah Fannin, Jayden Love, Temperance Fannin and Leighton Englehart and sister-in-law: Nancy Bolanis. He was preceded in death by his brother: Charles Paul Fannin, Jr.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Thursday, July 13, 2023 at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Rd. Lakeside-Marblehead, OH with visitation on Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of the services. Interment will follow in Sackett Cemetery, Danbury Township. Rev. Rick Jensen will be officiating. His family will be opening the doors to their home for a gathering immediately following the burial at 4559 E. Port Clinton Eastern Rd. Port Clinton, OH.
