William L. “Greeter Bill” Biers, 78, of Bitely, MI and formerly of Marblehead, OH passed away Friday, September 17, 2021 surrounded by his loving family at his home in Michigan. He was born November 12, 1942 in Port Clinton, OH the son of Charles and Jane (Scherf) Biers. He married Bonnie Lee Karns on December 14, 1963 and she survives. Bill worked for Ford Motor Company in Sandusky for 31½ years. After retiring from Ford, he worked parttime at Walmart for 18 years retiring in 2019. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Danbury and Immanuel Lutheran Church, Big Rapids, MI. He was a Firefighter and EMT with the Marblehead Vol. Fire Department for 21 years and an EMT with the Rescue Squad in Bitely for 21 years. Surviving are his wife: Bonnie; sons: Brian (Moreen) Biers of Massena, NY, Bradley Biers of Marblehead, OH; daughter: Barbra (Charles) Mann of Navarre, FL; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother: Robert (Betty) Biers of Marblehead, OH; sisters: Jerrilynn (Roger) Ripley of Columbus, OH, Debra (Thomas) Sandvick of Wakeman, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents and son Brett Biers. Visitation will be held from 11:00am – 1:00pm Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Rd. Lakeside-Marblehead, OH where funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Wednesday followed by Danbury Township Fire Department services. Interment will follow in St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery, Danbury. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Hospice of Michigan, 400 Perry Ave, Big Rapids Michigan 49307 or Living Waters Ministries, 7898 W. Stony Lake Rd., New Ira, MI 49446.
