William James Moritz

William James Moritz, Sr. 80, of Port Clinton, OH died November 18, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born Dec. 16, 1934 in Rudolph, OH the son of Roy and Thelma G. (Wilcox) Moritz. He married Dorla Boyard on June 15, 1956 and she survives. Mr. Moritz was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He worked for Shortridge Tree Service and Shortridge House Raising. Surviving are his wife: Dorla; children: Roy (Marilyn) Moritz, William Moritz, Jr., Jim Moritz, Karen Elter, Marvin (Celeste) Moritz all of Port Clinton; grandchildren: Charlie Moritz, Billy (Jessica) Moritz, James (Fianc Amber) Moritz, Michael Moritz, Kim (Emily) Moritz, Lewis (Fianc Breanna) Elter, Aaron Albright, Jessica (Fianc Daniel) Moritz, Dustin Moritz, Josh (Fianc Janelle) Moritz, Jennifer Moritz; eight great-grandchildren and sister: Dawn Moritz of Arizona. He was preceded in death by his grandsons: Paul Moritz and Scotty Moritz; brother: Hugh Moritz and sister Marlene Caps. A Celebration of William's life will be held Wednesday, November 25, 2015 from 10:00 2:00 at Erie Shores Assembly of God, 230 S. Gill Rd. Port Clinton, OH followed by a wake at Beer Thirty's, 212 Maple St. Port Clinton from 3:00 5:00.
