Walter D. Cook

Walter D. Cook, 86, of Lacarne, OH passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2021. He was born October 23, 1934 in Wilder, VA the son of Jasper and Nannie Bell (Osborn) Cook. He married Wilma Stevenson on August 30, 1958 and she survives. Walter was a machine operator for 32 years at Scandura. He was a United States Army Reserve veteran and he served in the Ohio National Guard. He was a member of the Port Clinton Eagles Lodge Aerie No. 2295 and former Port Clinton Moose Lodge. Surviving are his wife: Wilma; daughter: Robin Hatmaker of Oak Harbor; son: Kenneth Cook of Lacarne; grandchildren: James Hatmaker, Jr., Shalynn (Dan Jester) Schmidt, Jason Cook; great-grandchildren: Ava, Jasper, and Mackenzie Hatmaker; Addison and Oakley Schmidt; Jessie and Charles Cook. He was preceded in death by his son: Jeffrey Cook; parents; nine brothers and one sister. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 pm Friday, September 10, 2021 at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1124 Fulton St. Port Clinton, OH where funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Saturday, September 11, 2021. Interment will be in LaCarpe Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Heartland Hospice, 907 W. State St. Suite A, Fremont, OH 43420.
