Vivian Saylor

Vivian Saylor, 92, of Fremont and formerly of Port Clinton and Niles, passed away peacefully Friday, July 16, 2021 at Bridge Hospice, Bowling Green, OH. She was born April 30, 1929 in Bell County, KY the daughter of James L. and Zeta M. (Stoner) Slusher. She married David Saylor on September 28, 1974 and he preceded her in death on January 31, 2021. Mrs. Saylor worked many different jobs in her life, including, school teacher, worked at Middlesboro Community Hospital in Kentucky, worked for the Director of Urban Development of Middlesboro, worked for an Architectural Firm and a Law Firm. She was a member of First Brethren Church, Fremont, OH. Surviving are her daughters: Catherine Manovich of Tazewell, TN, Elaine (Jerry) Gilbert of Pineville, KY; grandchildren: Jeffery Hendrickson of Fremont, Erin (Wes) Turley of Winchester, KY; great-grandchildren: Riley Elizabeth Turley, Emma Kathryn Turley; step-son: Eric David Saylor of Columbus; step-grandson: Dr. Ryan Eric (Sierra) Saylor; close friends: Kathy Daly, Roberta Patterson and Theresa Polk. She was preceded in death by her husband: David; brothers: Allan Phillip Slusher, Kenneth Lowell Slusher; sister: Phyllis Rice; son-in-law: George Manovich. Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 am Thursday, July 22, 2021 at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1124 Fulton St. Port Clinton where visitation will be held Thursday from 9:00 am until the time of the service. Interment services will be Thursday at 1:30pm at Kerr Cemetery, Mineral Ridge, OH. Memorial contributions may be given to First Brethren Church, 2510 Hayes Ave. Fremont, OH 43420.
