August 31, 1949 - August 7, 2020 Virginia Lee Reid, 70 of Port Clinton, Ohio passed away peacefully on Friday August 7, 2020 in Edgewood Manor Care Center in Port Clinton. She was born August 31, 1949 in Lee County Virginia. She is the daughter of the late George Andrew and Gladys Nadine McMurray. She was preceded in death by her husband James Edward Reid, of 54 years, her parents, and her brother Wayne. Surviving are her five sons, James Jr., Johnny, Marty, Ronnie and Jeffery. She was the oldest of ten siblings, those surviving include Allen (Donna) McMurray, Jean (James) Davidson, Jack (Laura) McMurray, Jewell (Bud) Adams, Sue (Todd) Hepp, Phyllis Albertson, Phil (Tammy) McMurray, Lisa (Joe) Biro. She loved her grandkids; Amber, Christopher, Jennifer, Preston, Jacob, Amayah and Twins Zoey & Zander and two great-grandkids. Virginia enjoyed researching Genealogy with her cousin Loretta Halasz. She put her heart into preparing traditional southern meals for her boys. She also enjoyed quilting, plastic canvas, and crochet. She had a musical side and loved to sing aloud more than anything. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be deeply loved and missed by all. It was Virginia’s wish to be cremated. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
