Virginia A Turner

Virginia A. Turner, 90, a life-long resident of Port Clinton, died Sunday December 21, 2008 at Edgewood Manor Nursing Center. She was born December 25, 1917 in Port Clinton, the daughter of Herman A. and Myrtle E. (Fellerath) Bahnsen. Ginny retired in 1981 from the Port Clinton National Bank after 24 years. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, The Antiquarians, The Port Clinton Heritage Foundation and the American Numismatic Association. Surviving are her son James C. (Nancy) Russell of Port Clinton; step son Thomas A. (Pat) Turner of Shreveport, LA; step daughter Patricia A. (Kim Boyle) Stinson of Port Clinton; step grandchildren Andrew (Tia) Turner, Kevin (Virg) Stinson, Roger (Meka) Radloff and Christopher (Jennifer) McCumber; and five step great grandchildren. Ginny was preceded in death by her first husband James R. Russell, second husband Gale Turner, her parents and a sister Marjorie Weatherspoon. Visitation will be held from 2 7 pm Tuesday at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Port Clinton. Funeral services will begin at 10 am Wednesday at the funeral home followed by burial in Lakeview Cemetery. The Rev. Karl Kessler will officiate.
