Violet V. Thone

Violet V. Thone, 89, of Graytown, OH joined the Lord and her husband Tuesday, September 22, 2009, at Foundation Park Care Center in Toledo, OH. She was born March 6, 1920 in Huron, OH to the late Fred and Laura (Lindley) Sarnes. On September 28, 1936 she married Louis A. Thone who preceded her in death June 28, 2001. Violet retired in 1984 as a Nurses Aid at the former Ottawa County Riverview Nursing Home. She was a member of Calvary Bible Chapel East, Northwood, OH. Violet loved spending time with her family and playing cards. Survivors include her children: Jerry Thone of Andrews, IN, Don (Tara) Thone of Lindsey, OH, Janet Bostater of Elmore, OH, Linda (Gene) Ohm of Northwood, OH; sister Betty (Robert) Geldien of Genoa, OH; sister-in-law Vera Sarnes of Oak Harbor; grandchildren: Danny (Jill) Bostater, Randy (Pam) Bostater, Bill Thone, Brad (Mary) Thone, Stephany (Chuck) Blue, Diane (Garrick) Mickelson, Julie (Richard) Funk, Amy Ohms-Franks, Heather (Jason) Longoria, Ben Thone; 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great- great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Louis, son William Thone, son-in-law Frank Bostater, daughter-in-law Marcy Thone, brothers: Harley, Barley, Alvin and Jack Sarnes, sisters: Dorothy (Ireland) Dyke, Gladys Below, Helen (Sinkus) Mehan and Susan Schlipf, and grandson Robert Thone. The family will receive friends from 2-8 P.M. Thursday at Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 25, 2009 at 11 A.M. at the Funeral Home with Dan Bostater officiating. Interment will be in Elliston Cemetery.
