Violet Louise Willey

Violet Louise (Giesler, Henkle) Willey, 99 formerly of Elmore, OH died Friday, May 7, 2021 at Riverview Healthcare Campus, Oak Harbor under Hospice Care. She was born October 30, 1921 in Elmore, OH to the late Albert and Sadie (Flick) Giesler. On April 1, 1950 she married Claude Willey who preceded her in death January 15, 1997. Violet was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul- Trinity United Methodist Church, Elmore. Survivors include her sons: Larry Henkle of FL and William (Clara Thrun) Willey of Fremont, OH; daughter Kathleen Benson of Waterville, OH; grandchildren: Barry (LeeAnna) Henkle, Rex Henkle. Wendi (Tom) Wolfe, John (Jacqie) Willey, Mindy (Justin) DeLaHamaide, David (Kelly) Salyer, Connie Salyer, and Beth Oakes; 14 great- grandchildren; and 12 great- great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by daughter-in-laws Alice Henkle and Betty Willey, son-in-law John Benson, grandson Gary Henkle, brother Alton Giesler, and sister Naomi Lowry. Visitation will be from 11am- 12pm with Services to begin at 12pm on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at the Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Elmore-Genoa Chapel. Burial will be in Harris- Elmore Union Cemetery, Elmore, OH. Memorial Contributions may be given to the Harris- Elmore E.M.S. or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
