Vicki L. Carnicom

Vicki Lynn Carnicom, 47, of Sandusky, Ohio, died Monday, December 24, 2007 at Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky. She was born October 5, 1960 in Port Clinton, the daughter of Gilbert J. Carnicom, Jr. & Janet E. (Nichols) Carnicom. Vicki was employed at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky, as a Case Management Supervisor and a counselor in the Psychiatric Unit for the last 12 1/2 years. Prior to that she was contracted through Ford for the EAP program and was with the Boy’s Village of Sandusky. Vicki was a graduate of Port Clinton High School, having lettered all four years in tennis, track and basketball and she currently holds records at PCHS. She was inducted into the Port Clinton Athletic Hall of Fame on June 8, 2002. She graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and received her Masters of Education from the University of Toledo. Vickie was a member of the Big Brothers and Sisters of NW Ohio. Surviving is her partner, Valerie Jones, of Sandusky; father, Gilbert (Maxine) Carnicom, Jr.; mother, Janet Carnicom (Joe Lambeth) of Port Clinton; brother, Steven G. (Christine) Carnicom of Minneapolis, MN; nephew, Austin Carnicom, and aunts Marian Swift of Nemecolin, PA, Edie Lezaic and Kathy Nichols, of Warren, OH and Caroline Nichols of Naples, FL; her beloved dog, Allie, as well as many friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Harry Nichols and Mr. & Mrs. Gilbert Carnicom, Sr.; her aunt, Pat Boling; and uncles, Jack, Duane, and Harry Nichols. The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Thursday, December 27, at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Port Clinton. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, December 28 at St. John Lutheran Church, Port Clinton, with the Reverend James Lehman officiating, and where additional visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John Lutheran Church, Cancer Services of Sandusky, or to Big Brothers Big Sisters, Sandusky.
