Vicki J. Therkelsen

Vicki J. Therkelsen, 69, of Perrysburg, Ohio, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. Her three and a half year struggle with cancer took her body, but not her spirit, as she was an inspiration to all who knew her. Vicki was born on February 15, 1943, to Tom & Lois (Jeremy) Wyler. In June of 1961, she married Larry Almroth, and they later divorced. Vicki married Louis Therkelsen on August 7, 1970. She worked as a secretary in different capacities and also was a travel agent. Vicki was a long time member of Al Anon, always willing to share her experience, strength, and hope with individuals and groups when asked. She enjoyed traveling, camping, golfing, and the four cruises she and Lou took. Vicki is survived by her husband, Lou, and children, Marc Therkelsen, Point Place, Michael (Annette) Almroth, Elmore, Ohio, Shelly (Tim Nixon) Almroth, Frisco, Colorado, and James (Dina) Almroth, Arvada, Colorado; grandchildren, Jakob Therkelsen, Jeffery, Carly, Ben, and Steve Almroth, Courtney Roepke, Michael Smith, and a host of friends. Family and friends are invited to call from 3-8 P.M. Tuesday at the Crosser Funeral Home, Elmore-Genoa Chapel, 19550 W. State Route 51, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday. Interment will follow in Harris-Elmore Union Cemetery.
