Tracy Trent, 85, of Port Clinton died peacefully surrounded by his family on May 25, 2021. Tracy was born January 1936 to John and Rora (Saylor) Trent in Oil Springs, KY. He was a loving husband to his wife Beverly and the best father to his children. Tracy married Beverly (Smith) Trent and she survives. He will be remembered by those left behind for his fierce love of his family, generosity to those in need, hard work ethic, and love of Jesus. Tracy served in the United States Army, was a boiler room operator for Standard Products Co. and Goodyear Rubber and Tire, he was a partner owner in the Port Clinton Fisheries and Aardvark Ice Company. He was a longtime member of the VFW Post 2480, Dad’s Club, Eagles Lodge Aerie No. 2295 and the former Moose Lodge 1610. In addition to his devoted wife of 60 years, Beverly; Tracy is survived by his children: Kathy Petersen, Patsy (David) Brown and Carmela (Scott) Ryan; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother: Billie Trent; sisters: Allene (Dinzle) Stephens, Priscilla Lorensen and Beatrice Trent. He is preceded in death by his son: Dennis Trent, parents, sisters: Mattie Gebhardt, Maggie Buie, Mila Stephens, Ila Stephens, Mavis Edwards, Wanda Neumann, Alta Trent; and brother: Dale Trent. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Friday, May 28, 2021 at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1124 Fulton St. Port Clinton, OH 43452 where visitation will be held Friday from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton, OH. Memorial contributions may be given to the donor’s choice.
