Timothy J. Stanley

Marblehead – Timothy J. Stanley, 70, of Marblehead, formerly of Tuscarawas, passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at his home following a sudden illness. He was born November 29, 1950 in Dennison, OH, the son of the late Alfred Stanley and Elizabeth “Orine” (Spaulding) Stanley. He married the love of his life and his rock, Rose (Smolak) on December 18, 1971 at Immaculate Conception in Dennison and she survives. Tim worked for Rubbermaid Inc, Associated Grocers and he was a butcher. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton, OH. Tim was an avid fisherman and loved spending time on the water with family and friends. Tim especially enjoyed spoiling his 5 grandchildren and always looked forward to seeing them. Tim had a deep appreciation for nature and thoroughly enjoyed his daily adventures to the dog park with his dog Webster. Tim also consistently donated his time at the St. Vincent De Paul food pantry. Tim and Rose were just about to celebrate their 50th anniversary later this year. Tim’s children will desperately miss calling him with problems that only he seemed to know the answer to. Tim will be profoundly missed by all who were so fortunate to know his kind soul. Surviving are his wife: Rose; children: Zane (Jennifer) Stanley of Caledonia, MI, Heidi (Matt Johnson) Stanley of Portland, Oregon. Five grandchildren Tim dearly adored: Mason Stanley, Zoe Stanley, Hayden Stanley, Quinn Stanley, and Alfred “Alfie” Johnson; brother: Tom (Carol) Stanley of Tuscarawas; sister: Patricia (Larry) Kilpatrick of New Philadelphia; brother-in-law Christopher (Teri) Smolak and their children, Skyler and Sierra, that Tim considered as grandchildren, also surviving are many nieces, nephews and good fishing buddies. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother: Gerald Stanley and twin grandchildren. Visitation will be conducted 4:00 – 6:00 pm Sunday, April 18, 2021 from Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1124 Fulton St. Port Clinton, OH. A Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 am Monday, April 19, 2021 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 414 Madison St. Port Clinton, OH. The mass will be broadcasted live via Immaculate Conception Catholic Church's Website or Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Homes website. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent De Paul Society, 233 W. Second St. Port Clinton, OH 43452, Humane Society of Ottawa County, 2424 E. Sand Rd.
