Thomas M. Brown

Thomas M. Brown, 56, of Fremont, Ohio, died Friday, August 12, 2011 at his home following a lengthy illness. He was born on November 1, 1954 in Port Clinton, Ohio, a son of Howard R. & Madeline (Walters) Brown. He was a 1972 graduate of Oak Harbor High School and attended Midland College, Midland, MI and Bowling Green State University. Tom was the Assistant Store manager at Wal-Mart in Port Clinton, Ohio, and transferred to Wal-Mart in Fremont where he was a Department Manager. On September 5, 1975 he married the former Renee Arndt at St. John Lutheran Church, Rocky Ridge, Ohio, and she survives. Also surviving are his sons, Nathan Brown and Jared Brown, both at home; his future daughter-in-law, Samantha Myers; brother, Raymond (Judy) Brown, Rocky Ridge; sisters, Janet (Sonny) Domokos, Oak Harbor, Ohio, Betty (Donnie) Shook, and Susan McClanahan, both of Port Clinton, Ohio, and Sharon Cooper, Fremont, Ohio; mother-in-law, Ruth Arndt, Oak Harbor, and sister-in-law, Cindy Arndt, Milford, CT. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Nancy M. Brown. The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Monday at the Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor, where a Celebration of Tom's Life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday with Pastor Kyle Timmons officiating.
