Thomas L. Murphy, 79, of Oak Harbor, OH died peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, May 16, 2013. He was born August 10, 1933 in New York City the son of Joseph and Alice (Isnley) Murphy. He married Shirley Johnson on August 10, 1974 and she survives. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. He worked at Standard Products, Brush Wellman and Lakefront Marina. He is a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Oak Harbor, a life member of Findlay Moose, life member of Port Clinton V.F.W., Life member of the Vermilion Am. Vets, life member of Sandusky American Legion and a life member of the Fremont Eagles. Surviving are his wife: Shirley; son: Thomas (Brandi) Murphy of Oak Harbor; daughter: Alice Murphy of Oak Harbor; grandchildren: Jessica and Elizabeth Murphy; his sister: Babe and his special cats: Satan, Frisky III and Ash. He was preceded in death by his cats: Frisky I, Frisky II, Brandi and Pluto. There will be no services. Memorial contributions may be given to the family or the Alzheimer's Association.
