Thomas J. Ashton

Thomas J. Ashton, 74, of Oak Harbor, OH passed away Friday, August 16, 2024 surrounded by loved ones at his home. He was born August 9, 1950 in Port Clinton, the son of James and Madonna (Winke) Ashton. He married Denise E. Reese on May 17, 2002 and she survives. Tom worked for Heineman Distributing and Hy-Miler retiring in 2012. Tom loved gardening and watching birds, especially hummingbirds.

Surviving are his wife: Denise; daughter: Heidi (Mike Cannode) Ashton of Maumee; son: Joshua (Tiffany) Reese of Helena; grandchildren: Mikayla Claus, Logan Reese, Andrew Claus, Marissa Claus, Cheyenne Reese, Addi Cannode; siblings: Rebecca (Louie) Rodriguez of Port Clinton, Dave (Theresa) Ashton of Port Clinton, Pat Ashton of Florida, Tammy (Tim Pennell) Ashton of Brunswick, OH, John (Sherry) Ashton of Port Clinton, Steve (Susan) Ashton of Port Clinton, Jamie (Ann) Ashton of Port Clinton and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter: Amy Claus and brother Mike Ashton.

A Celebration of Tom’s Life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be given to the donor’s choice. Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service is handling the arrangements.
