Thomas G. Cutcher, 75, of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, and formerly of Lincoln Park, MI, died Monday, December 19, 2005 at Stow-Glen Retirement Village, Stow, OH. Tom was born in Toledo, OH on March 7, 1930, a son of David F. & Mary L. (Amrose) Cutcher. He was a 1948 graduate of Oak Harbor High School where he was an all-around athlete, participating in football, basketball, and track. Tom was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, where he served as a hospital corpsman during the Korean War. He was a 1957 graduate of St. Louis University with a degree in Physical Therapy. His first position after college was at Christ Hospital, Cincinnati, where he was the principal physical therapist for Maurice Stokes, an NBA star for the Cincinnati Royals, who had been stricken with encephalitis. From there, Tom held positions in Columbus, Jackson, MI and Lansing, MI, and his final employment at Oakwood Hospital, Dearborn, MI. After retiring, he continued living in Lincoln Park where he enjoyed his favorite activities of fishing, bicycling, and being an ardent fan of Notre Dame. Tom was also a good friend to many of his acquaintances by providing transportation and assistance to doctor’s appointments, grocery shopping, and other activities. In June 2001, because of his failing health, he moved to Ohio to be near family. His remaining years were spent at Stow-Glen Retirement Village where he received excellent care from a staff who responded to his failing health needs. He was a member of Christ the Good Shepard Catholic Church, Lincoln Park, MI., and was also a member of the K of C. He is survived by his brother, William D.(Shirley) Cutcher, Lake Worth, FL; sister, Doris Johnson Nibling, Cuyahoga Falls, OH, and 13 nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 7-9 P.M. Friday, January 6, 2006 at the Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor, OH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 A.M. Saturday, January 7, 2006 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Oak Harbor, with the Rev. James E. Peiffer, celebrant. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor.
