Thomas A. Sandvick

Thomas A. Sandvick,73, of Wakeman OH passed away Saturday, December 4th 2021. He was born on July 25th 1948 to Philip and Patricia (Sinclair) Sandvick in Lakewood Ohio. Thomas graduated from Norwalk High School in 1966. After that he went to college at Western Reserve for business. He then joined the United States Coast Guard in 1969. He was active for four years and then in the reserve for another four years. He then started working in the parts department at the family business, Sandvick Motors in Norwalk moving into sales shortly after. He worked in car sales for 38 years before he retired from Steinle GMC Cadillac in Fremont in 2010. While serving in the United States Coast Guard in Marblehead OH, he met the love of his life, Debra (Biers) Sandvick. They married on July 21st 1973. Being married for 48 years they had three children, Matthew (Erin) Sandvick, Mark (Jenna) Sandvick and Randi (Robert) Miller. He had seven grandchildren Evan, Abram, Zachary, Jane, Marian, Penelope, and Timothy. Along with a brother Jerry (Karen) Sandvick of Navarre Florida and many nieces and nephews. He loved meeting his salesmen buddies for breakfast and lunch. Meeting with family for dinners and his Coast Guard buddies . He enjoyed reading, fishing, hunting, and traveling. Traveling with his wife on many cruises, going to Mexico, and even visiting relatives in Norway. Most of all he loved his family, getting together and playing games. Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 7, 2021 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Rd. Lakeside-Marblehead, OH. Funeral services will be conducted 1:30 pm Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Danbury, 541 S. Church St. Marblehead, OH. Rev. Beth Westphal will be officiating. Interment will follow in St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery.
