Thelma S. Benadom

Thelma S. Benadom, 86, of Oak Harbor died Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at H. B. Magruder Hospital, Port Clinton. She was born August 17, 1920 in Oak Harbor the daughter of Charles and Sophia Baumgartner. She married Clayton A. Benadom on August 11, 1949 and he preceded her in death on May 17, 1999. Mrs. Benadom began working by house cleaning for Dr. Gibson, she then worked at Oak Harbor Bakery, J. Weller Co. and Mulligan Appliance. She then worked for the National Bank of Oak Harbor for 32 years rising to the position of Asst. Vice-President retiring in 1990. She loved to play cards, bowl and crochet. She enjoyed the love of animals especially her special pets. She was an avid Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Cavaliers fan. Surviving is her son: James (Nancy) Benadom of Oak Harbor; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Clayton A. Benadom; sister: Irma Baumgartner; brothers: Carl Baumgartner and Howard Baumgartner. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Sunday, December 17, 2006 at Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor where visitation will be held Saturday from 3:00 – 9:00 pm in the funeral home. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor. Rev. David Voll will be officiating. Memorial contributions may be given to the Humane Society of Ottawa County.
