Terry J. Mesker, 73 of Oak Harbor, OH died Thursday, September 24, 2020 at his home under Hospice care. He was born July 16, 1947 in Port Clinton, OH to the late William Jewel and Deltha Irene (Carn) Mesker. Terry served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from the former Kelsey-Hayes as a machinist. He was an active member of the American Legion Post #114 in Oak Harbor and St. John Lutheran Church, Rocky Ridge. He also was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans. Terry enjoyed fishing, Nascar and Sprint Car Racing, watching the Cleveland Browns and Indians play. Terry also enjoyed working on cars, woodworking especially during fair time with his nephew Cliffy, helping out the Boy Scouts and having his cup of coffee at Kozy’s or the Drive Thru with the boys. He was a wonderful cook, preparing many meals and fish frys at the Legion Hall. To the end, he always thought of everyone else but himself, espically when it came to his children and grandchildren. Survivors include his children: Corey Michael Mesker of Oak Harbor and Hope (Lance) Martin of Oregon, OH; grandchildren Samantha and Alexander Martin; brother James Mesker of Missouri; sister Daisy (Gordon) Robertson of Westmolin, TN; and Nova (Fetherolf) Mesker of Rocky Ridge, OH. He was preceded in death by his brothers Clifford and Herbert Mesker and sister Annabell Whitaker. Funeral Services will begin at 1pm, Monday, October 5, 2020 at the Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Oak Harbor Chapel with the family to receive friends beginning at 11am. Burial will be in Salem Township Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor. Those wishing to make contributions are asked to consider Promedica Hospice.
