Terence W. "Terry" Riester

May 17, 1936 — December 4, 2016

Terence W. "Terry" Riester passed from this earthly realm, as he was called by God on Sunday, December 4, 2016 at the age of 80. He was a faithful and devoted man who was preceded in death by his wife Charlotte Riester in 1991, and is survived in life by his wife Rose Riester, brother Robert (Ginny) Riester, his children: Michael (Barb) Riester, Robert Riester, Katherine (Mark) Hellfritz, Thomas Riester, as well as grandchildren Erika and Lindsay Hellfritz, Jackie Riester, Andrew, Adam and Allison Riester, numerous cousins, three nieces and a nephew. He is also survived by his Ohio family of Jeffrey (Claren) Boehler, Kathleen (Tom) Derr, James (Lisa) Boehler, John (Sarah) Boehler, Andrew (Shelley) Boehler, 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for 23 years and was the recipient of one Bronze Star. Following his military career he ran his own business, Terry's Window Treatment Service for 26 years before retiring and residing in Port Clinton, Ohio and Ft. Myers Beach Florida for his love of fishing and the tropics. He also served his church and community as a past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, Aurora Council 4079, and was a Eucharistic Minister for the Roman Catholic Church. Services in Port Clinton will be as follows: Visitation will be held Thursday, December 8, 2016 from 6:00 8:00 pm at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1124 Fulton St. Port Clinton, OH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father John Missler at 10:00 am Friday, December 9, 2016 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 414 Madison St. Port Clinton, OH. Interment Services in Denver, Colorado will be as follows: Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at 11:00 am at Horan & McConty, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd. Lakewood, CO followed by escort for Interment at Fort Logan National Cemetery promptly at 12:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donation to the Ottawa County Veterans Administration or the American Cancer Society.
