Susan Marie Kieffer

Susan Marie Kieffer passed away Thursday, May 7, 2020 at St. Lukes hospital Maumee, Ohio. Susie was born April 5, 1959 in Toledo, Ohio to Dr. Edward and Mrs. Mary Kieffer. Susie was a special soul. Born with Downs Syndrome she defied all expectations and lived an amazing 61-year life, positively impacting everyone she met. She was full of love, sass, spirit, and energy. Though limited cognitively and physically she was rich with emotion. She loved everyone she met. She loved holidays. She loved being the center of attention. She loved her family and she loved God. Susie also loved her extended family at Luther Homes, Riverview, and Portage Trails, all of whom contributed to her vibrant, fulfilling life. Susie was preceded in death by her mother. She is survived by her father; brothers Bill (Nikki) and Tom (Bob); five nieces and nephews Nathaniel (Liz), Traci, Benjamin (Shelby), Ryan, and Jeremy. She is also survived by three grand-nieces/nephews. No memorial services are planned.
