Susan L. Graybill

Susan "Sue" (Nelder) Graybill, a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on April 25, 2024 at her home in Catawba Island, Ohio. She was 74 years old.

Born on June 23, 1949 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Sue was the daughter of the late Anne and Roy Nelder. On October 5, 1968, she married her beloved husband William Graybill, who preceded her in death after 46 years of marriage.

Family and friendships were Sue's greatest joys in life. She had a gift for making profound connections, listening without judgment, and finding ways to nurture those around her. Sue was passionate about gardening, art, and engaging with nature through neighborhood walks and exercise classes around Catawba Island.

While working various jobs over the years, including as a hairdresser and at Gordon Lumber Co. in Port Clinton, Sue's true calling was bringing people together and enriching their lives.

Sue will be deeply missed by her sons Scott (Suzanna) Graybill of Mansfield, Eric (Theresa) Graybill of Huron, and Adam (Megan) Graybill of Hudson; her seven beloved grandchildren Kaylee, Marisa, Ryan, Grant, Gavin, Josh and Blake; her sisters Jane Francis, Carol (Ron) Corvari, Sandy Smith; her brother David Nelder; and her life partner of six years, Ray Smith of Berlin Heights.

Visitation will be Friday, May 3, 2024 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1124 Fulton St. Port Clinton, where funeral services will begin at 12:00 noon on Friday.
