Susan C. "Sandy" Decrane

Susan C. "Sandy" DeCrane, 74, of Lakeside-Marblehead, OH and formerly Sagamore Hills, OH died Monday, March 6, 2017 at Magruder Hospital, Port Clinton, OH. She was born July 26, 1942 in Cleveland, OH the daughter of Louis and Dorothy (Prescott) Blashford. She married Donald DeCrane on Feb. 24, 1962 and he survives. Sandy was a floral designer most recently working at Tops Supermarket in Mayfield Heights. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marblehead, OH and she loved to read and do word puzzles. Surviving are her husband: Donald DeCrane, Sr.; sons: Donald (Maggie) DeCrane, Jr. of Randolph, OH, Ronald (Carrye) DeCrane of Sagamore Hills, OH, James (Dawn) DeCrane of Strongsville, OH; grandchildren: Joseph, Daniel, Susannah, Charles, Kyle, Tara, Caleb, Myles and Connor; seven great-grandchildren; brother: William (Susan) Blashford of Pooler, GA; Jean Fyfe of Cleveland, Carol (Ross) Bellanco of Mentor and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson: Nathaniel and an infant great-granddaughter. Along with her family, Sandy was beloved by many friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father James Brown at 11:00 am Saturday, March 11, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 822 Barclay St. Marblehead, OH where the family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of the Mass. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery, Marblehead, OH. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 822 Barclay St. Marblehead, OH 43440 or Truth Ministries Food Pantry, 3260 E. State Rd.
