Steven J. Doust

Steven J. Doust, 55, of Oak Harbor died Friday, May 9, 2008 at Cleveland Clinic following a brief illness. He was born June 10, 1952 in Toledo, OH to Joseph "Jim" and V. Joyce (Percy) Doust. He was a 1970 graduate of Port Clinton High School. On June 10, 1971 he married Carolyn Jessee and she survives. Steve was the former owner/operator of Oak Harbor Family Restaurant from which he retired. He was a member of the Oak Harbor Conservation Club and the Stony Point Sportsman Club in Jackson County, Ohio. Steve loved to fish, hunt, and was an avid outdoorsman. Survivors include his wife Carolyn, son Steven J. (Sherri) Doust II of Bowling Green, OH; daughters: Jennifer Rebecca (Richard Jr.) Walleman of Findlay, OH, Chrissy (Scott) Ernsberger of Oak Harbor; mother Joyce Doust, Port Clinton; brothers: Gerald (Nancy Schnabel) Doust of Genoa, OH, Jeffrey (Shawn) Doust of Oak Harbor; grandchildren: Brendan and Lilybeth Walleman, Anzlee, Kenzley, Kerrigan, and Andan Ernsberger; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, brother David Doust, and grandchildren RJ Walleman III and Samantha Walleman. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-9pm with the family present 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Oak Harbor Conservation Club.
