Steve A. Riley, 63 of Oak Harbor, OH died unexpectedly Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at his home. He was born June 10, 1960 in Port Clinton, OH to Irene Floro. He was a 1978 graduate of Oak Harbor High School. In 1993 he married the former Cindy Kern, and she survives. Steve spent 44 years working for Quikstir Inc., Port Clinton, OH and was “semi” retired as of this past January.
Steve was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Oak Harbor. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing golf. He enjoyed spending his free time doing things with his family and playing with Rocky (family dog). During the summer he liked to visit all the county fairs, go to watch the Mudhens, and take walks at the Wildlife Refuge. He also loved riding his motorcycle and taking his wife and daughter along too. He was his daughter’s hardest coach and biggest supporter.
Survivors include his wife Cindy, daughter Ashley Riley, and sister Jackie (Scott) Bahs, all of Oak Harbor, OH. He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father Irene and Howard Cheek; and sister Judy Riley.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2-8 PM with the family present from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Oak Harbor. Funeral Services will begin at 11 AM on Monday, February 5, 2024 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 122 W. Ottawa St., Oak Harbor. Pastor Ralph Wolfe will officiate, and interment will follow at Rusha Cemetery, Carroll Township. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Cherry Street Mission, Carroll Township Fire & EMS, or Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge.
