Stephen R. Lockhart

Stephen R. “Steve” Lockhart, 62, of Elmore, Ohio, passed away Sunday, December 6, 2020 at his home, under the care of Hospice. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on December 16, 1957, a son of Noble & Betty (Laxton) Lockhart. A 1976 graduate of Lake High School, Steve was an avid fan of the Michigan Wolverines, and loved hosting tailgate parties. He enjoyed camping and was known for his “Apple Pie”. For many years, Steve was a signalman for CSX Railroad. On August 23, 1993, he married the former Sharon Henry, and she survives. Also surviving are his sons, Chad (Erin McCullough) Lockhart of Kentucky and Cody (Hannah) Lockhart, of New Jersey; siblings, Bobby Lockhart, Walbridge, Ohio, Sue (Jim) Gouttierre, Toledo, Ohio, Jim Lockhart, Luckey, Ohio, Don (Barb) Lockhart, Perrysburg, Ohio, Sonia (Rick) Freeman, Perrysburg, Ohio, Theresa (Dennis Hartman) Seegert, Walbridge, Ohio; and grandchildren, Ayden, Faith, Swayzie, and Sylvie. Steve was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Mike Lockhart, and sisters, Judy McLean and Sheila Hensley. Friends may call from 2-8 PM Friday at Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Elmore-Genoa Chapel, 19550 W. S.R. 51, Elmore. Masks will be required, and social distancing will be observed. Private funeral services will be held, with interment to follow at Harris-Elmore Union Cemetery, Elmore. At a later date, a Celebration of Life gathering will be held.
