Stella Anna Marysz

Stella Anna (Lipka) Marysz, 91, of Danbury Township, Ohio passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 14, 2011 at Edgewood Manor Nursing Center in Port Clinton, Ohio, where she had been a resident there from July 3, 2006 thru August 14, 2011. She was born on June 18, 1920 in New Bedford, Massachusetts, the daughter of the late Jozef and Mary (Ruszczsyk) Lipka. On August 26, 1944 she married John J. “Eli” Marysz, Sr., and he preceded her in death on March 24, 2006. Stella was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marblehead, where she was also a member of the Rosary Altar Society. She loved doing crafts, crocheting, knitting, baking and cooking for everyone. She also loved going to the Danbury Senior Center in Danbury Township with her husband. Survivors include her daughters: MaryAnn St. Bonore, Toledo, Ohio; Sally Phillips, Port Clinton, Ohio; Judy Cole, Marietta, Ohio; sons: Joseph Marysz, Port Clinton, Ohio and John J. (Deborah) Marysz, Jr., Granger, Indiana; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and her canine companion, “Rosie”. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, an infant son in 1954; sisters: Anna, Laura, Helen; sister in law and brother in law: Olga and Mike Marysz; and her canine companions: “Barney and Rusty”. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 from 2-5pm at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton, Ohio. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at 10am at the funeral home with Father John C. Missler officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Marblehead. Memorial contributions may be made to the Edgewood Manor Activities Fund, or to the Humane Society of Ottawa County. The family of Stella would especially like to thank the staff at Edgewood Manor Nursing Center, and all the people who were so good to her. She loved all the people at Edgewood.
