Stanley Kerbel

Stanley Kerbel, 86 of Elmore, OH died Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Genoa Care Center, Genoa, OH. He was born July 25, 1929 in Elmore to the late Orville and Beulah (Rafferty) Kerbel. He served his country in the United States Coast Guard. Stan owned and operated Stan's Body Shop in Elmore. He was also a Harris Twp. Constable, Elmore Police Chief and Harris Twp. Volunteer Firefighter. He was a member of the Merchant Marines and Elmore American Legion Post #279. Stan will be remembered as the most honest, friendly, kind hearted gentleman and father, he will be missed. Stan is survived by his daughter Stacey Kerbel of Elmore; nephews Steve and Larry Weiker. He was preceded in death by his wife Lola Jane (Sanders), wife Lynn (Wingrove), son Albert John Kerbel, daughter Sandra Kerbel and sister Ellen Weiker. Services for Stan will be announced later this Spring by the Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Elmore- Genoa Chapel. Burial will be in Harris- Elmore Union Cemetery, Elmore, OH.
