Staci A. Laney

Staci A. Laney, 39, of Port Clinton, OH passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at The Cleveland Clinic. Staci was born August 5, 1980 in Port Clinton the daughter of Jimmie and Cheryl (Wheeler) Laney. Staci loved working with horses and was previously in 4-H competing in Quarter Horse Events. She enjoyed reading and doing arts and crafts. She loved people and never met a stranger. Surviving are her father: Jimmie (Wendy Shiets) Laney of Port Clinton; brother: Jeremy (Erica) Wheeler of Curtice; grandparents: Dallas and Doris James of Catawba Island; aunts: Linda (Michael) Laney-Dansard of Marblehead, Coletta Wheeler of Port Clinton, Carol Radloff of Port Clinton; uncle: Dave (Stephanie) Wheeler of Gypsum and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother: Cheryl Laney and grandparents: Manny and Rose Wheeler. Visitation will be held Sunday, February 16, 2020 from 12:00 noon - 6:00 pm at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton St. Port Clinton, OH where funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Monday, February 17, 2020. Interment will follow in Catawba Island Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Humane Society of Ottawa County or American Cancer Society.
