Sophia Jump

Sophia Jump, 97, of Sandusky, OH died Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky, OH. She was born Feb. 21, 1915 in Marblehead, OH the daughter of the late George and Helen (Banca) Elchisco. She married Edwin Jump on June 16, 1938 and he preceded her in death in Jan. 1971. Mrs. Jump was a homemaker and also worked in the administrative office of Farrell Check Steel Co. retiring in 1981. She was a member of Holy Assumption Orthodox Church, Marblehead, OH. Surviving is her son: John R. "Jack" Jump of Sandusky; grandchildren: Robin, Jimmy, Bob, Jeff, Jennifer and Jacquelyn; nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband: Edwin; son: James Jump; brothers: John Elchisco, George Elchisco; sisters: Helen Beadle, Mary Migala and Ann Strechberry. Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 am Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at Holy Assumption Orthodox Church, Marblehead, OH. Visitation will be held Monday from 6:00 8:00 pm at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, LakesideMarblehead, OH. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky, OH.
