Shirley O'Nan

Shirley M. O'Nan, 81, of Port Clinton, Ohio died Friday, November 21, 2008 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, Ohio. She was born on January 8, 1927, in Port Clinton, the daughter of the late Frank and Florence (Harmes) Becker. She married Edward O'Nan on November 1, 1947 and he preceded her in death on June 22, 2002. Shirley was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Port Clinton, and also the Eastern Star. She was an avid bridge player, and she especially loved to watch the Port Clinton football teams play. Survivors include her daughter: Jody ( Stuart) Gahn, of Port Cllinton; son: John (Sheila) O'Nan, of Oak Harbor; grandchildren: Ross Gahn, Patrick Gahn, Casey O'Nan, Colleen O'Nan, and Kaitlynn Gahn. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister: Ella Louise Babcock. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 1, 2008 at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton, from 9:00-11:00 AM where memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM with Reverend Bruce Batchelor-Glader officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center's Burn Unit, or to the Port Clinton Football Teams.
