Shirley Marie Tatlock

Shirley Marie Tatlock April 10, 1934 - September 25, 2018 Shirley Tatlock, 84, of Port Clinton, Ohio, passed to be with the Lord on September 25th. The only daughter of Dale & Marie Wilson was born in Detroit, Michigan, and married the love of her life Meredith E. Tatlock on July 26, 1952. Shirley was a talented artist, although it was a family joke that in her younger years she was unable to draw a stick figure. Shirley enjoyed leading the childrens craft lessons in Lakeside, as well as coordinating the craft shows in Lakeside for many years. Shirley had the uncanny ability to be there to help before you asked - she had a huge heart and would put her family and friends before herself in every instance. Always there to listen, and if an opinion was asked her honest answer was given - sugar coating was not her specialty, but honesty was. Faith was always a very important part of Shirleys life and she was an active member of Firelands Presbyterian Church in Port Clinton. Not many Sundays in her life had passed without her attending church in Port Clinton or Sarasota, Florida, and bible study during the week. Shirley is survived by her children Dawn M. Dubbert (Jim) and son Robert E (Lisa Wadsworth) Tatlock both of Port Clinton; her grandchildren James C Dubbert, Port Clinton OH; Jennifer A. Dubbert, Elyria OH; Jayne M. Mays, Findlay OH; Jessica M. (Brendin) King, Gahanna OH; Meredith L. (Matt) DeVries, Galena OH; Adam (Courtney) Tatlock, Indianapolis IN; great-grandson's: David, Michael, Griffin, Bennett, Gideon and John Pugh, her companion of many years. She was preceded in death by her great-granddaughter Camile. Shirley was very proud of her children, and when she spoke of her grandchildren she would beam. But when asked about her five great-grandsons she would positively light up and was always ready with pictures and stories. The family would like to thank the Rev. Mark Cooper ,EMS personnel, Magruder Hospital, St Vincents for their care of Shirley. We would also like to extend a huge thank you to the angels at Stein Hospice in Sandusky.
