Shirley Sanicky, 75, of Oak Harbor, OH, died Thursday, May 17, 2007 at Riverview Senior Healthcare Campus, Oak Harbor. She was born March 4, 1932 in Port Clinton, OH to the late Carl and Agnes Vollmer. She was employed by the Crestwood Schools in Mantua, OH where she was a cook and bus driver. She also worked at Edgewood Manor Nursing Home in Port Clinton. Shirley was a Jehovah Witness and was a member of the Port Clinton Kingdom Hall. She enjoyed cooking for her family and sewing. Survivors include her sons: Steven of Lake Park, FL, Gary of Juno Beach, FL, Jeffrey of Mantua, OH, Kenneth of Windham, OH, Fred of Port Clinton, OH, Michael of N. Palm Beach, FL; daughter Shaon Sanicky of Marietta, OH; brothers: L. David Vollmer, E. Thomas Vollmer, & Robert W. Vollmer; sisters: Carol 'Ginny' Vollmer & Anna L. Conn; and 14 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Fred Sanicky, brothers Charles and William, and sister Edythe VanVork. Graveside services will begin at 10am on Thursday, June 21, 2007 at LaCarpe Cemetery in Erie Township. Memorial Contributions can be made to the Charity of the Donors Choice.
