Shirley Ann Lynch, 74, of Marblehead, Ohio and formerly of Parma, Ohio died unexpectedly on Monday, February 10, 2014 at Magruder Hospital in Port Clinton, Ohio. She was born on October 1, 1939 in Parma, Ohio, the daughter of the late John and Anna (Timan) Studinka. On May 30, 1960 she married Robert J. Lynch and he survives. Shirley was employed by the Union Food and Commercial Workers, Local 880 in Cleveland, Ohio as a food clerk until her retirement in 2002. She was a member of St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church in Marblehead and also a member and past president of the Danbury Senior Center. Her hobbies included baking, cooking, shopping, playing softball, pet sitting, watching sports, especially The Ohio State Buckeyes and Notre Dame Football. Most importantly, she enjoyed spending time with her four grandchildren. Survivors include her husband: Bob; daughter: MaryEllen (Mel) (Laura Bollinger) Lynch, Grove City, Ohio; sons: William (Bill) (Maura) Lynch, Parma Heights, Ohio and Robert James (Bo) Lynch, Middleburg Heights, Ohio; grandchildren: Bryan and Connor Lynch, and Maci and Evan Lynch; and brother: Richard (Sue) Studinka, San Diego, California. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant son: Robert Michael Lynch. Visitation will be held at St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church, 506 E. Main Street, Marblehead, Ohio on Thursday, February 13, 2014 from 11am until the Office of Christian Burial at 1pm with Father Robert Kelly officiating. Burial will take place sometime in the spring at St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Cemetery in Marblehead. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church or to the Danbury Senior Center.
