Shirley A. Mcnutt

Shirley A. McNutt, 73, of Oak Harbor, Ohio, died Friday, July 31, 2009 at her home. She was born in Seneca County, Ohio, on September 6, 1935, the daughter of George D. & Lucile (Stever) Orwig. Shirley was a secretary for Benton-Carroll-Salem Schools for 25 years. Previously, she was a secretary for Thierwechter Insurance and the Druckenmiller Agency, both of Oak Harbor. An active member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Oak Harbor, Shirley was a member of the Evening Guild and was a former member of the church council. On May 23, 1959, she married Jerry A. McNutt, and he survives. Also surviving are her sons, Lynn (Nancy) McNutt and Scott (Lynne) McNutt, both of Oak Harbor; daughter, Sue (Dan) Ochs, Fremont, Ohio; brother, Delbert (Regina) Orwig, Vermilion, Ohio; and grandchildren, Brittany, Gregory, Bethany, Tyler and Sarah McNutt and Alex and Brandon Ochs. Also surviving are her special friends, Peggy Krehmke and Kathleen Miller. She was preceded in death by her parents. Friends are invited to call from 2-8 P.M. Sunday at Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor, where funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Monday. Rev. David A. Voll will officiate, and interment will be in Elliston Cemetery, Elliston, Ohio.
