Shirley A. Baer

Shirley A. Baer, 78, of Oak Harbor, Ohio, died Thursday, May 15, 2014 at her home following a brief illness. She was born in Elmore, Ohio on July 11, 1935, the daughter of the late Carl & Leona (Draper) Miller. Shirley enjoyed gardening and reading, and was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family was very important to her and spending time with them was her greatest enjoyment. On February 15, 1952, Shirley married Donald F. Baer, and he preceded her in death on January 25, 2006. She is survived by her daughters, Karen (Dan) Fillmore, Oak Harbor, Cathy Ashley, Oak Harbor, Cheryl (John) Ambrose, Bucyrus, Ohio, and Kaye (John) Avery, Oak Harbor; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, and brothers, Roger Miller and Gary (Linda) Miller, both of Genoa. Friends are invited to call from 11 A.M. 1:00 P.M. Monday, May 19, 2014 at Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Oak Harbor, where funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday. Pastor Tim Sherman of Bethel United Brethren Church will officiate, and interment will follow in Limestone Cemetery, Limestone, Ohio.
