Sharon L. Destazio

Sharon L. DeStazio, 52, of Elmore, died Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. She was born October 11, 1955 in Toledo, a daughter of the late Fred & Evelyn (Foster) Lavender. Sharon worked at the Chrysler Jeep Plant, Toledo, retiring in 2004. She was a 1973 graduate of the former Sylvania High School, a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Elmore, and loved gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. She married Michael DeStazio on June 30, 1973 and he survives. Also surviving are her daughters, Kelly DeStazio of Elmore, Tamara (John) Donley of Wapakoneta, Ohio; grandchildren, Trea DeStazio, Myles DeStazio, Olivea Donley; brothers, Jerry (Jo) Lavender of Mt Pleasant, SC, Jeff (Cindy) Lavender of Bowling Green, Ohio; sisters, Barb (Ronald) Myers of Whitehouse, Ohio, Pam (Harold) Bryant of Tailor, SC, Marsha (Dan) Slemp of Toledo, and Kimberly Nusbaum of Temperance, MI. The family will receive friends from 3-8 P.M. Thursday at the Crosser Funeral Home, Elmore. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Friday, February 1, 2008 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Elmore. Rev. Stephen Lutz will officiate, and interment will be in Harris-Elmore Union Cemetery, Elmore.
