Sharon A. Walters, 80, of Oak Harbor, OH, passed away Friday, February 1, 2019 at the University of Toledo Medical Center, Toledo, OH. She was born in Salem Township, Ottawa County on August 16, 1938, a daughter of the late Michael & Cecilia (Felder) ONeal. Sharon was a lifelong member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Oak Harbor and was a member of the Altar & Rosary Society of the church. She was a Cub Scout Den Mother for several years, and was a member of the Lakeshore Corvette Club. Sharon was well known in the community for her association with local pharmacies. She worked for many years at the former Finke Pharmacy in Oak Harbor, and continued at the Oak Harbor Apothecary, and finally retired from Rite-Aid. On September 7, 1957, Sharon married James D. Walters at St. Boniface Church, and he preceded her in death on May 18, 2015 after over 57 years of marriage. She is survived by their children, James (Deanna) Walters, Oak Harbor, and Jody (Philip) Carstensen, Catawba Island; brothers, Richard (Nancy) ONeal, Fremont, OH, David (Mary) ONeal, Oak Harbor, and Patrick (Janey) ONeal, Fremont; sister, Peggy (David) Haar, Oak Harbor; grandchildren, Tyler & Marissa Carstensen, and James & Peyton Walters; and sisters-in-law, Millie ONeal, Port Clinton, Carol Walters, Fremont, and Faye Walters, Castalia, OH. Sharon was also preceded in death by her brother, Michael ONeal. The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Monday at Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 301 N. Locust St., Oak Harbor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 215 Church St., Oak Harbor. Rev. Timothy F. Ferris will officiate, and interment will follow at Salem Township Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor. Following the service, a luncheon will be held at St. Boniface Church.
