Seth A. Mcwatters

Seth A. McWatters, 31 of Mason, MI and formerly of Curtice, OH passed away Friday, May 31, 2024, following injuries sustained as a victim of an automobile accident. He was born October 31, 1992 in Oregon, OH to Donald “Dan” and Rebecca (Blair) McWatters Jr.. He was a 2011 graduate of Genoa High School and received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toledo. He was currently employed at General Motors in Lansing, MI as a Paint Process Engineer in the Paint Shop.

Seth was a member of the UM Tailgate, an avid Michigan fan, and a season ticket holder. He loved to golf, hunt waterfowl, and in addition to Michigan, he cheered on his favorite teams; the St. Louis Cardinals and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Seth truly enjoyed traveling with his wife Kaylee and they had many amazing adventures. They had recently celebrated being together 10 years, and were excited to start the next chapter of their lives, having gotten married at their own home in Mason on October 22, 2022.

Seth was known among his commune of friends and everyone who crossed paths with him as a man of few words, but the words he said would make everyone laugh. He was loved for his integrity, and being there when you needed him, usually with a goofy grin and a shoulder shrug.

Survivors include his wife Kaylee; parents Donald and Rebecca McWatters; siblings: Chris (Gloria) McWatters, Danny (Lynne) McWatters, Timothy McWatters, Jeanna (Kyle) Beck, and Bryce McWatters; Brother-in-law Drew (Brittany) Wilburn; nieces and nephew: Kayleigh McWatters, Chloe McWatters, Blaire Beck, Josephine Beck, Louis Beck and Quinn Wilburn; father & mother-in-law Randy and Wendy Wilburn; grandmother-in-law Shirley Beck; many cousins but his cousin Adam White was loved like a brother and his dog, June and “Kaylee’s” cat, Indy.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Oak Harbor Golf Course on Friday June 7, 2024 from noon-3p. Any additional services will be held privately by the family.
