Selena T. Titta, 9, of Port Clinton, Ohio died Sunday, July 10, 2011 at the University of Cleveland Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio with her family by her side. She was born on November 3, 2001 in Sandusky, Ohio, the daughter of Timothy and Margarita “Margi” (Cuevas) Titta. She had just completed 3rd grade at Immaculate Conception Catholic School in Port Clinton. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, where she was also a member of the joyful voices children’s choir, and was an altar server at the church. She was a spokesperson for the “Make A Wish” Foundation, and also to the “Give Kids the World” which helps terminally ill children getting their wishes granted. She was also one of the top donators last year at Cedar Point for “Give Kids the World”. She was a “Make A Wish” Foundation child, receiving a trip to Walt Disney World in 2009. Her passion in life was to take care of others and give back to her community. By doing this, she donated locks of her own hair to help make wigs for kids in a program called “Locks of Love” which helps kids who have lost their hair due to medical issues. She was an avid animal lover, especially for her cat, “Snowball” and her hamster, “Buddy”. Her hobbies included playing baseball, softball, basketball, cheerleading, fishing, singing, dancing, traveling to car shows, and being very active in the girl scouts. Survivors include her parents: Tim and Margi; brother: Jacob Fleck, Port Clinton; maternal grandparents: Roque “Rocky” and Maria Lilia Cuevas, Port Clinton; paternal grandparents: Dianne Bernal (John Malik), Lacarne, Ohio; Pete and Suzie Titta, Toledo, Ohio; paternal great grandfather: Harold “Buck” Chevalier, Oregon, Ohio; special aunts and uncles: Leo Cuevas, Port Clinton; Gloria (Ed) Butterfield, Mentor, Ohio; Ruben Cuevas, Port Clinton; Del (John) MacDonald, Sandusky; cousins: Devon, Jared, Sarah, Sammy, Mitchell, Miranda, Chrissy, Manuel, Jessica, Leonardo, Abby and Michael, as well as many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her paternal great grandparents: Mathias and Christina Cuevas; Guadalupe and Josephina Chupa; great grandmother: Mary Malik; and her aunt: Doris Viers. Visitation will be held at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton, Ohio on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 from 3-8pm. Family prayers will begin at the funeral home on Thursday, July 14, 2011 at 9:30am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 414 Madison Street, Port Clinton, with Father John C. Missler officiating. Burial will follow in LaCarpe Cemetery, Lacarne, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made in care of the Immaculate Conception Catholic School, Selena Titta Scholarship Fund.
