Scott Pugh, 58, of Put-in-Bay, and formerly of Alpena, MI, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born April 13, 1963, in Detroit, MI, the son of Donald R. and Mary J. (Walters) Pugh. Scott graduated from Alpena High School, where he enjoyed playing football and hockey and was a state championship hockey player. Following graduation, he attended Alpena Community College Central Michigan University and The Ohio State University. He was a member of Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, Put-in-Bay, OH, and he previously served on the Put-in-Bay School Board of Education. He met Kim Bergan on the island, and they were married there on August 27, 1994. Scott spent the majority of his life working as a Certified Electrician. He valued and took pride in his work embracing each new day. He had a special place in his heart for his island family and community and went to any length to help those around him. He loved spending time with his family and strived to be an amazing father and husband for them. He had a voice and smile that was one of a kind and loved talking to everyone as if he had known them for a lifetime. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing poker, fishing, scooter rides, racquetball, ice fishing, telling stories, snowmobiling, four-wheeling, and talking with friends. Scott will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him, but Scott will never be forgotten. Surviving are his wife: Kim; daughter: Madeline Pugh of Put-in-Bay; son: Carter Pugh of Put-in-Bay; mother: Mary Pugh of Put-in-Bay; sister: Michelle Fuleky of Lambertville, MI. He was preceded in death by his father and sister: Donna Pugh. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm Friday, September 24, 2021, at the Cornerstone Room at Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, Put-in-Bay. Graveside services will follow immediately at Crown Hill Cemetery, Put-in-Bay, OH. Following the service, a reception will be held at the Niagara Event Center, Put-in-Bay.
