March 29, 1955 — August 14, 2023

Sandra (Sandy) Marie Scafaria, 68, of Marblehead passed away Monday, August 14, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born March 29,

1955 in Cleveland, OH, the daughter of William and Eleanor (Jaksa) Cham. She married the love of her life Guy D. Scafaria on August 27, 1983.

Sandy retired in 2016 as the Global Insolvency Manager for Eaton Corporation after 39 years of service. During that tenure, she obtained her Bachelor’s in Business, with a concentration in Accounting and earned the credentials of Credit Business Associate, Certified International Credit Professional, and Certified Paralegal. She also ran the family decorative concrete business, Concrete Impressions, alongside Guy for over 10 years. Sandy was always learning and finding more efficient ways of doing things.

In her free time, Sandy could be found out on the water with her family, enjoying a beautiful Lake Erie sunset, practicing yoga, listening to live music, traveling near and far, searching for beach glass, enjoying art of every kind, and spending time with those she held most dear. She loved her family fiercely, and did everything she could to give her kids and grandson a wonderful life filled with love, support, adventure, and understanding. To know Sandy was to love her, as she made a concentrated effort to make everyone feel seen, heard, and welcome in her presence. Her infectious laugh and genuine love for life and other beings, including animals, will be remembered by all of those who were lucky enough to spend time around her.

Sandy always had strong faith throughout her life, but truly found her home as an active member of The Chapel in Port Clinton.
