Sandra Fleenor

Sandra "Sue" Fleenor, 71, of Marblehead, Ohio passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Edgewood Manor Nursing Center in Port Clinton, Ohio. Sandra was born on April 15, 1948 in Rogersville, Tennessee, the daughter of Willard "Bill" Barnette and Beulah (Booker) Robbins. At the age of two, her family moved to Marblehead, where she was raised and later met her husband, Forster Fleenor. They were married on November 26, 1966 in Port Clinton, Ohio. A passion for creativity, Sandra enjoyed crocheting and painting, especially floral scenes, including many murals throughout her home and keepsakes for her family. Sandra enjoyed listening to country music and playing poker around the kitchen table. Most importantly, she cherished time spent with her family. She embraced staying home to raise her three children and cared for her grandchildren throughout the years. She was well known for her kindness, honesty, sense of humor, generosity and overall caring nature. Sandra also held many jobs throughout the community over the years, including Cheese Haven, Teddy Bear Charters and Bay Point Resort and Marina. Sandra is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Forster, and her mother, Beulah; her three children, Loretta (Robert), Glendale (Kathleen) and Michael (Elizabeth); sisters, Doris Holmes, Beverley Havens, Rachel Sparks, Norma Hess, Becky Harris, and Marcella Mowel; brother, Bill Barnette, Jr.; five grandchildren, Amber, Brandon, Paige, Shay and Jared "Dee", three great-grandchildren, Shyia, Zander and Cora, as well as numerous adored nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Bill, step-father James Robbins and her sisters, Marcia St. Marie and Margaret "Marg" Barnette. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 31, 2020 at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Road, Lakeside-Marblehead, Ohio from 1:00 pm until funeral services at 3:00 pm with Pastor Dave Mowel officiating. Burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made directly to Neidecker, Leveck & Crosser Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
