Samantha E. Fortman- Nevel, 21 of Graytown, OH died suddenly Wednesday, March 6, 2013 in Walbridge, OH. She was born June 19, 1991 in Effingham, Illinois. In 2001 she was adopted by James Nevel and Amy Minarik. Samantha was a 2009 graduate of Woodmore High School and was currently a student at Terra Community College. She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church in Elliston, OH. Survivors include her adopted father James Nevel of Graytown, adopted mother Amy Minarik of Walbridge; daughter Ellie Nero of Genoa, OH; brothers: Isaiah Nevel of Graytown, Jeremiah Nevel of Wauseon, OH, James Nevel Jr. of Petersburg, MI, Joshua Nevel of Stony Ridge, OH, and Lucas Hall of Texas; sisters: Alexia Nevel of Graytown, Jessica Fortman of Illinois, and Raina Fisher of Stryker, OH; and special friends Jeremy and Skylar Tipton. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 15, 2013 beginning at 1pm at the Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor, where the family will receive friends from 10am until the time of service.
