Sally Sue Witten

Sally Sue Witten, 84, of Lakeside, Ohio died Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at Magruder Hospital, Port Clinton. She was born on August 11, 1924 in Bellaire, Ohio. Sally was a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University and the University of Cincinnati School of Law. She worked for the Girl Scouts of the U.S.A. for many years and retired as an Administrator at West Virginia State College. She was a member of the Lakeside United Methodist Church, past President of the Lakeside Property Owners Association and the Lakeside Women's Club. She was the author of six books and numerous articles for local publicators. Survivors include her sister: Jane (Robert) Peterseim; sister-in-law: Margery Witten; nieces: Susan Witten (Murray) Conaway, Rebecca Witten (Larry) Burch, Pamela (Paul) Dunn, Jennifer (Michael) Greco, and nephew: Robert (Barbara) Peterseim, Jr.; great nieces: Lindsay Dunn and Hailey Peterseim, and great nephew: Jacob Dunn. She was preceded in death by her parents: Judge Bernard G. and Esther (Parson) Witten, brother: Bernard G. Witten and nephew: Bernard G. Witten, Jr. A Memorial Service will be held at the Lakeside United Methodist Church, 450 Central Ave, Lakeside, OH at 2 pm Saturday, February 7th. Interment will be at Witten Cemetery, Fly, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lakeside United Methodist Church or the Lakeside Association.
