Ruth Mazur

Ruth Mazur, 73 of Marblehead, OH died Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Bowling Green, OH. She was born February 12, 1950 in Lorain, OH to the late Chester and Aimee (Mawhinney) Kurant. She was a 1968 graduate of Lorain High School. On February 7, 1970 she married David Mazur. Ruth retired from the Danbury School District as Secretary to the Superintendent, where she proudly worked in various positions for over 30 years. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and VFW Women’s Auxiliary Post 7572, both in Marblehead. She truly loved the outdoors and enjoyed boating, snowmobiling, riding her bike, walking and soaking up the sunshine. Her family was very important to her, especially her loving husband David of almost 54 years. Ruth was extremely proud of her daughter and granddaughter and spent a great deal of time with them.

Survivors include her husband, David of Marblehead, OH; daughter Cari Beers of Marblehead, OH; granddaughter Lillie Beers; and brother Robert (Terri) Kurant of Florida.

Services will be held privately by the family. Memorial Contributions for Ruth may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
